Speaking of alternate universes

...take a gander at this:

In case of war with the United States, Canadas coal imports from this country would be cut off and her railroads and industrial activities seriously handicapped. If Blue controlled the Quebec area and Winnipeg, Canada's railroads and industries dependent upon "steam power" would be crippled.

Scott, the link doesn't work. Fix it please--I'm desperate to learn what contingency plans might exist to protect my children from retaliation by the Canuck hordes.

Sorry - I had just noticed its dysfunctionality as you were posting.

There's no stopping our hordes, eh.

"This is the most recent declassified
invasion plan available from the US archival sources."

In other words, ANYTHING more recent then '35 is deemed still useful enough to classify.

Yeah, Russ, I was wondering the same thing. Just what is the Pentagon's current plan in case Al Qaeda takes over Canada?

Of course, it's worth pointing out that the troop estimates were probably rather low ... a few years later, during WWII, one million Canucks had joined the various branches of the service ... Interesting how pretty much the same strategy/thinking seems(overall) to have lingered from that war of 1812 thing ...
