I think most people is getting tired of so much hype about so much exageration on both sides. All the best. Uff Kim, this is likely to be incredibly complicated. There is an enormous queue for all this for any non-EU citizen. You would need to find an employer first, and get them to make special pleading for you, then you might need to wait over six months even to get an interview with the authorities. Otoh the irregular labour market is pretty much like it is in the US I guess. Maybe renting a DVD of Depardieu in Green Card would give you some ideas. What the statute is, more than anything, is a consolidation of previously existing powers which had been accumulated in a ragbag fashion (in pacts with both PP and PSOE governments) during the 25 years since the last statute was introduced, and their elaboration in one single, symbolic, text.
