France!

by Emmanuel

Not a very good game, admittedly, but we’ve made it to Berlin nonetheless.

Considering the level of play displayed by the Italians last night, it will be a daunting task. But then again, so were the two previous games against Spain and Brazil. One can dream. The tens of thousands of people parading in the streets of Paris tonight certainly do.

Interestingly, I remember there wasn’t much going on in Paris after the semi final in 1998. The final, of course, caused a different reaction ;). Well, I’m su´re there won’t be any reason for les bleus to complain about lack of support from the German audience this time ;). Allez les Bleus!

Greetings from a German who made it to Berlin today - although the timing could have hardly been less fortunate…

If some terrorists wiped out the entire stadium I bet the economies in France, Italy and Germany would all improve. If nothing else the welfare rosters would go down.

After The Netherlands were defeated by Portugal I decided to cheer for France. May the best team win ;-).
