In the English-speaking world, <a HREF="http://electionresources.org/nz/" rel="nofollow">New Zealand</A> has a similar electoral system, as do <a HREF="http://electionresources.org/sct-wls/" rel="nofollow">Scotland and Wales</A> for their devolved legislatures. A referendum on the electoral system was originally scheduled for next month, but the early election has forced its postponement until next year at the earliest.
