Nominate Best UK Blog

Nominate your favorite UK blog(s) here.

Rules:

You can nominate as many blogs as you like. Please don’t be shy about nominating your own blog.

Nominations should preferably be in the form of comments or trackbacks to the relevant post.

This weblog is not eligible for any awards, but our contributors’ other blogs are.

The nominating phase will go on for several weeks. The finalists will be determined by the number of nominations and our discretion.

The master post for the awards is here.

  1. My regular reads are Backword, Matt Turner and Chris Lightfoot. (I’d consider nominating Nick as well, but I figure he can do it himself…)

Oh, I’m also told that Shot by both sides is good, although I don’t really see the attraction myself.

  2. John – you could nominate me, but I’m being all high-minded and neutral and refusing to be considered as I’ll be part of the judging. However, I’m free to nominate SBBS, Green Fairy and Political Betting.

(And just to clarify, this category, as with the other regional ones and best European, is open to all blogs, not just political ones)

  3. The Policeman’s Blog

“A Journey into the mad, mad world of the British underclass and the Public sector, where nothing is too insane for it to be written down and copied in triplicate. VIEWS EXPRESSED PROBABLY DON’T REFLECT OFFICIAL POLICY (although to be honest I haven’t really checked) David Copperfield is a pseudonym.”

  4. Aw, shucks, Lenin. You nomitated me. I’ll nominate you right back: Lenin.

I’ll also nominate the Hungbunny. I’ve been reading his site for a couple of months now, and I’m still hazy on what exactly a hungbunny is. But fuck it.

  5. I should add that if Daniel Davies posted regularly on his own blog, and posted less regularly about statistical regressions elsewhere, this contest would be entirely superfluous.

  6. I nominate The Yorkshire Ranter as the best UK blog and as the best political blog. It has rigour, it comments quickly and regulalry on current affairs, sources and links are original and impeccably checked.
    A very good read indeed.

  7. bloodandtreasure.typepad.com So very clever
Eurotrash – fuckitwasfunny.com So very frivolous

  8. eureferendum is excellent – speedy and pithy critical analysis of all spheres of EU action.
